If you are a citizen of any other country, you will need to apply for a transit visa if your layover is longer than 8 hours. You can apply for a transit visa at the Dubai International Airport.

To apply for a transit visa, you will need to provide the following documents:

  • A valid passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of your intended travel.
  • A completed visa application form.
  • A recent passport-sized photograph.
  • Proof of onward travel.

The visa fee for a transit visa is AED 250 (US$68).

The processing time for a transit visa is usually 24 hours.
